PURPOSE:To eliminate deformation of a top plate due to a load and simplify attachment and detachment of a guard, by supporting the front part of the top plate by means of vertical supporting rod of a protection guard. CONSTITUTION:The main body 1 of a stove is surrounded with a horizontal reflector 5, a vertical reflector 6, and a top plate 7 to form a heat reflecting part 9 with the front and both sides thereof left open. Radiation heat generated from a combustion heat source 10 located in said heat reflecting part is caused to be radiated. A protection guard 11 provided so as to encircle the heat reflecting part 9 consists of a plurality of horizontal connecting rods 12 having U-shape and a pair of vertical supporting rods 14 connected to the front parts on either side of said horizontal rods 12. On each top end of a pair of vertical supporting rods an inward bend which is inserted from outside into the top plate is formed. Further, at the lower end of said vertical rods an inward bend to be inserted from outside into the horizontal reflecting plate is formed. Therefore, by releasing the inserted inward bend 14B at the lower part of said vertical rod from the horizontal reflecting plate, said protection guard can be pivoted upwardly on the inward bend 14A at the top end of said vertical rod.
