PURPOSE:To avoid the interruption of communication during the transmission of the facsimile information of a single unit, by using a control means to restore the communication in case the transmission is impossible for the next facsimile information of a single unit. CONSTITUTION:It is decided whether or not the transmission is possible for the next message of a single unit within the remaining time (ta) obtained by subtracting the existing communication time (t) from the finite communication enable time T in order to avoid such a case where the connection is cut forcibly during the transmission of message of a single unit. A system control part 136 transmits a procedure end EOP signal in case the time (ta) is not long enough to transmit the picture information or the next original to be transmitted is not available. While a receiving office RX sends back an MCF signal in reply to the EOP signal. A transmitting office TX sends a cut instruction DCN signal back to the office RX after detecting the MCF signal to restore the relevant connection.
