1,233,815. Blow-moulding. SOC. D'ETUDES VERRIERES APPLIQUEES. 17 June, 1969 [17 June, 1968], No. 30622/69. Heading B5A. Blow-moulded articles are formed by expanding a tubular parison 4 in a mould 5, a plurality of moulds 5 moving successively to a parisonreceiving station adjacent parison-forming means, e.g. extrusion head 2, where the moulds close successively about sections of the parison 4 and are moved away along the line of formation of the parison, i.e. in the direction F, the parison-forming means also moving along this line relative to the moulds, the movement of the parison-forming means and the moulds being so related as to obtain the desired stretching and wall-thickness of the parison. The parison obtained may have uniform wall thickness or different wall thicknesses along its length. The cross-head extruder 2, barrel 1 and hopper 3 mounted on slide 8 may be reciprocated by means of a rotating cam 7 and follower wheel 9 on slide 8, the cam being driven synchronously with the moulds.
|
