PURPOSE:To make a developing device for multiple colors simple and compact and to substantially assure toner capacity by toner storage parts by constituting said device dividedly to developing parts which contain developing sleeves, etc., and face a photosensitive body and the toner storage parts coaxial with the developing parts. CONSTITUTION:The developing part corresponding to the selected color among the developing parts 5a-5c turns and moves to the developing position facing the photosensitive body 1 in the stage of a copying operation. The developer in the developing part 5a is supplied to the developing sleeve 8a by a developer stirring and conveying device 9a and while the sleeve 8a holds the developer magnetically, the sleeve rotates and conveys the developer to develop the latent image on the photosensitive body 1. A toner conveying member 12 makes turning operation to supply the toner from a toner tank 6a onto a toner replenishing roller 11a upon generation of a toner replenishing signal when the toner in the developing part 5a is deficient. The toner is replenished into the developing part 5a by the toner replenishing roller 11a. |
