PURPOSE:To process an error rapidly by recording an error message on a sheet when the sheet is mounted at the detection of the error and alarming by an alarm means when the sheet is not mounted. CONSTITUTION:When a font error, IC errors in a RAM 14, ROMs 15, 16, etc. or the drive errors of carriage movement and sheet-feed and the like are generated, a CPU 11 discriminates the errors, reads corresponding data from the inside of the control ROM 15, and records a corresponding error message on a sheet with a recording head 7 through a head controller 19 and a head driver 20. An alarm means 24 is operated simultaneously, and an LED is flashed. When the sheet is not set, the alarm means 24 is actuated, and the recording head 7 is moved to a section such as a central section, thus alarming the generation of the error. Accordingly, the errors can be processed quickly. |
