DRAW MOLDING PROCESS OF FIBER-REINFORCED PLASTIC

PURPOSE:To manufacture the complicated-shape molding in mass production without destroying balloon by molding FRP (fiber-reinforced plastic) containing microballoon as filling material by means of continuous draw. CONSTITUTION:The continuous strand mat 3 and the roving 4 are dipped in the matrix resin containing the microballoon 5, which then is guided into the mold having specified shape of section and cured integrally while drawing. The microballoon is taken into between the fibers of the continuous strand mat 3 and the roving 4 or into the matrix resin in the shapes of 5', 5'' and 5 without destroying its own original form. The part thus molded is useful as an automotive part of lightening material.
