PURPOSE:To obviate the spoiling of the floating function of a ferrule by the outflow of an adhesive agent to the outside and to prevent dislodgment by external force such as torsional stress and tensile stress by providing a spot facing part which acts as a reservoir for the adhesive agent to one end of the hole of the ferrule to be inserted with an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:The spot facing stepped hole 12 is provided to the end of the hole 5 of the ferrule body 1. The hole 12 acts as the reservoir for the adhesive agent 10 scraped in the stage of adhering an optical fiber clad part 3 to the ferrule body 1 to prevent the outflow of the adhesive agent 10 to the outside of the hole of the ferrule body 1; in addition, the optical fiber clad part 3 can be surely adhered by the adhesive agent 10 stagnating in such adhesive agent reservoir. The dislodgment of the inside part of the ferrule 1 is thereby prevented even if the optical fiber clad part 3 is cut by twisting on the outside of the hole of the ferrule 1.
