PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily and securely provide a lid on the top of a stack and prevent rainwater which is injurious against a lining material and the like from invading into a stack by operating a lid member from a remote position and opening and closing the lid member. CONSTITUTION:A rainwater invasion preventing device 1 is provided with an upper rainwater invasion preventing device 1a and a lower rainwater invasion preventing device 1b which are opened and closed on both side surface of a stack 100. A rise-up part 4 is provided in the upper rainwater invasion preventing device 1a, and prevents rainwater from invading into the stack from the top portion of the stack 100 together with a rise-up portion 3. A spring 7 is provided on side of fan-shaped upper and lower rain water invasion preventing devices 1a and 1b via pins 6. Further, at the corner portions 7a and 7b wire ropes 8a and 8b are provided. Further, on both side portions of the stack 100, members 9a and 9b which check the rainwater invasion preventing devices 1a and 1b when they are opened. Further, wire ropes 8a and 8b are introduced by the base portion of the stack 100 via pulleys 10 and 11, and pulled by a winch 13.
