<p>PURPOSE:To assure dimensions in the screw down direction and in the orthogonal direction to the screw down direction with a high accuracy by performing screw down control of the 1st stand in order to make a difference between a dimension in the rolling direction of a rolling material in the outlet side of the 2nd stand and that in the orthogonal direction to the rolling direction the prescribed target value. CONSTITUTION:A target value and a measured value are compared by an adder 32 and the arithmetic result DELTAdelta is obtained in order to control a difference between a dimension in the screw down direction of a material 1 to be rolled being rolled at the #(i+1) stand and that in the orthogonal direction to the screw down direction of the material 1 to be a prescribed constant value. A multiplier 33 multiplies the DELTAdelta by a factor alpha from a factor setter 35 and obtains a product Xi=alpha.DELTAdelta. A screw down control of the #(i) stand to the extent of an amount proportional to the Xi in order to the DELTAdelta is zero through a screw down controller 16 and a screw down equipment 15.</p> |
