PURPOSE:To prevent a piston from making into direct contact with the inner surface of a cylinder even though the piston becomes eccentric, by using a resin seal ring between a cylinder and a piston, and by limiting the gap between the piston and the inner surface of the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular seal ring 3 made of, for example, teflon, is provided. The dimensions of various sections are selected to satisfy the following relationship; a < b + c, where (a) is the gap between a piston and the inner surface of a cylinder 2, (b) is the gap between the seal ring 3 and the bottom surface of a groove 4, and (c) is the gap between the seal ring 3 and the inner surface of the cylinder 2. With this arrangement even if the piston 1 becomes eccentric with respect to the cylinder 2, the piston 1 will not make into contact with the cylinder 2. |
