PURPOSE:To enable a smooth welding by eliminating the interruption is changing the polarity by bisecting a reactor, by connecting each reactor in series by dividing it at the output end side of a thyristor and by specifying the coil winding direction. CONSTITUTION:Reactors 15a, 15b are bisected and connected with being divided to the output terminal side of thyristors 6a-6d. And a reactor coil is wound on the common iron core and at the continuity time of a series thyristor 6a or 6d the winding direction is decided by the polarity that the magnetic flux in the same direction as the iron core is generated. In this composition the output current becomes a flat DC+I0 is case of the continuity of the time T1, the residual energy of the reactor 15b is transferred to the reactor 15a and the same current as 15b is immediately passed, so a smooth welding can be performed without a reset period in changing the polarity, the interruption of the arc.
