SWITCHING METHOD FOR OPTICAL PATH

PURPOSE:To switch optical paths without using a metallic wire by using a light source of variable oscillation wavelengths and optical demultiplexer to switch the optical path. CONSTITUTION:The optical demultiplexer 2 which allows the transmission of light of a wavelength lambda1 and reflects light of a wavelength lambda2 is selected. On the other hand, the light source which can selectively oscillate the light of the wavelengths lambda1, lambda2 is selected as the light source 1 consisting of an oscillation wavelength variable laser. The optical path is thereby selected in a B point direction or C point direction.
