发明名称 POLISHING METHOD FOR ALUMINUM SHEET
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve polishing efficiency, by a method wherein the temperature of an aluminum sheet is increased to higher than a specified value, the peripheral velocity of a buff and the press force of the buff against the sheet surface are held in a specified range during movement in a rotation direction of the buff, and the buff is separated from the sheet surface when the sheet is moved in a direction reverse to the rotation direction of the buff. CONSTITUTION:A buff 8 is brought into contact with an aluminum sheet (a) only when the aluminum sheet (a) is moved in a direction in which the buff 8 is rotated, i.e, in the case of forward pass, and in the case of reverse pass, the buff 8 is separated away from the aluminum sheet (a). This prevents aluminum powder, produced resulting from polishing, from adhesion to a portion where the buff is present, and prevents the generation of a buffing streak which damages the appearance of a ground surface. During forward pass, the peripheral velocity and the press force of the buff 8 are held in a given range, and this prevents the occurrence of seizure and facilitates removal of aluminum powder adhered to the buff. Further, the temperature of the aluminum sheet (a) is regulated to 30 deg.C, and sprayed compound for polishing is brought into a powdery state, and this prevents the generation of compound streaks.
