PURPOSE:To provide an inexpensive sensitive body having high photosensitivity on the longer wavelength side and fit for semiconductor laser by combining photoconductive zinc oxide with a sensitizing dye represented by a prescribed formula, an electron affinitive substance and acrylic resin. CONSTITUTION:A sensitizing dye represented by the formula (where n is an integer of 1-5, preferably 2 or 3 and X is an acid anion, preferably I<->) is added to photoconductive zinc oxide by 0.01-0.1wt% of the amount of the zinc oxide. At this time, the sensitizing dye is added in combination with an electron affinitive substance because a photosensitive layer contg. only the sensitizing dye has unsatisfactory photosensitivity. When phthalic anhydride is used as the electron affinitive substance, it is effective in remarkably increasing the sensitivity as a chemical sensitizer for the sensitizing dye for longer wavelength. Acrylic resin is preferably used as a binder for a photosensitive layer contg. zinc oxide as a photosensitive substance. |
