SOLID ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR MANUFACTURE A valve-metal pellet is positioned on end on each pad of an array of pads of valve-metal ink. The resulting assembly is sintered to produce an array of porous sintered pellets that are bonded through a graded density layer to a substrate. Next the assembly is anodized and an insulating polymer is applied to the substrate around the pellets. The pellets are provided with the usual manganese dioxide electrolyte and counterelectrodes. The array is thereafter separated into individual capacitors or groups of capacitors.
