PURPOSE:To easily feed a punch to the prescribed position by regulating the movement of a ram shaft with the member which is reciprocated by a rotary member and the stopper which is integrated with the ram shaft in the titled device pressing the pipe terminal with the punch. CONSTITUTION:A whirl-stop is performed with the outer engagement of a slider 6 to a ram shaft 4 by crossing the male screw on the outer periphery thereof and by fitting the tip of a pin 18 to the groove in the axial direction thereof. First a step motor 14 is rotated, the rotary nut 8 which is screwed to said male screw is rotated and the slider 6 is moved in A direction until its end face is detected by contactless switch 26, and a motor 14 is stopped. The slider 6 is then moved in B direction by the value corresponding to the production error of the punch 32 from its origin by reversing the motor 14. The pressing is then performed by feeding the punch 32 to the work position by moving the shaft 4 in A direction by driving a cylinder rod 3 with hydraulic cylinder 2. In this case the end face 3a which makes at right angles approximately with the shaft 4 of the rod 3 is abutted to the end face 6a of the slider 6 and the rod 3 is stopped at this position.
