PURPOSE:To obtain a drying composition having no leak possibility of a deliquescent solution and highly hygroscopic property, by together using magnesium chloride and magnesium oxide. CONSTITUTION:Anhydrous magnesium chloride and magnesium oxide are mixed to prepare a drying composition. This drying composition is packed by a moisture-permeable water-proof sheet pervious to steam but impervious to water and enclosed by heat-sealing to be used as a drying package. This drying composition does not release a liquid at all even if absorbing moisture and, because said composition solidifies when absorbing moisture up to the limit of absorbing capacity, the solidification thereof can be set as a standard for the limit of moisture absorbing capacity.
