PURPOSE:To prevent a reduction of cranking rotations, by opening a timing valve at the latter period of an intake stroke to rise the intake temperature, and opening an air intake passage at the lower stream of the timing valve to the atmosphere intermittently at the former and intermediate period of the intake stroke. CONSTITUTION:At the lower stream of a passage 4, is furnished a switch valve 9. And to the switch valve 9 is linked a diaphragm unit 11 through a linking mechanism 10. In this case, when the negative pressure chamber 11c of the diaphragm unit 11 is linked to the atmospheric side by a triple electromagnetic valve 14, the switch valve 9 is opened against a spring 11d, and the triple electromagnetic valve 14 is controlled to operate by a CPU 15. Therefore, at the former and intermediate period of an intake stroke of the engine 1, the switch valve 9 is closed and opened repeatedly according to the engine rotation frequency and the accelerator opening, to perform the desired purpose.
