PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. which is wholly crystal clear, has excellent thermal stability, moldability and mechanical strength and is suitable for use as a material for light electrical components, parts for vehicles, optical disc, etc., by blending two specified methyl methacrylate copolymers. CONSTITUTION:5-95% (by weight; the same applies hereinbelow) copolymer (A) having a viscosity of 4.5-20cp (as a 10% soln. of a copolymer in methyl ethyl ketone at 25 deg.C; the same applies hereinbelow) and composed of 14-94% methyl methacrylate unit (a), 5-85% six-membered acid anhydride unit (b) of the formula (wherein R1, R2 are each methyl, H), 1-70% arom. vinyl compd. [e.g., (alpha-methyl)styrene] unit (c) and 1-20% (meth)acrylic acid unit (d) is blended with 95-5% copolymer (B) having a viscosity at 3-20cp and composed of 29-98% component (a) unit, 1-26% maleic anhydride unit (e) and 1-70% component (c). |
