The soil cultivating machine has a frame (1) in which soil cultivating blades (3) are supported. A roller (16) is located behind the soil cultivating blades. The roller carrier is adjust-able in height w.r.t. the frame. An adjuster (23) is disposed between the carrier and the upper side of a trestle (21) located on the frame. The adjuster is operable from the tractor and an indicator (40,41) allows checking of the roller position from the tractor. The indicator forms parts of the adjuster. The indicator (41) is a pointer capable of rotation around a shaft (43).
