PURPOSE:To unify an access of resources by specifying physically and well- definedly all the resources connected to a network, by the minimum unit being a page. CONSTITUTION:A node 1 is constituted of a communication line 2, a network adaptor 3, an address translator 5, a bus 4, a CPU 6, a disk 8, etc. An object address containing a node number is set in advance as a broader item of a page address, and a reference table of a file name contained in all resources for constituting a system, and the object address is stored in the disk 8. A part of the reference table is stored in the translator 5, and the adaptor 3, too. In this way, in which node a file name used for a process exists can be decided, and the CPU 6 can request information related to a detailed physical address regarding the file name.
