PURPOSE:To execute exactly an arrangement of a document which has been printed on a postcard, by storing the format information of a postcard address document in a fixed table. CONSTITUTION:When a key operation for designating a format setting is executed from a key input part 11, a message for showing a kind of a document is displayed on a display part 14. When an operator selects a postcard address document, it is detected by a deciding part 132, and a changeover switch 135 is switched to a B side. As a result, format setting information for the postcard address document which has been stored in a fixed table 133 is set to a format information table 15. Also, from the fixed table 133, tab information of the postcard address document is read out and set to the format information table 15. On the other hand, when a designation of a general document is designated from the key input part 11, the changeover switch 135 is switched to an A side by the deciding part 132. As a result, the format setting information which is brought to a key input thereafter is set to the format information table 15 through an input control device 12, and an input part 131.
