<p>PURPOSE:To increase the dust collection amount per unit volume, by applying charge to the dust in dust-containing gas in the upstream side of dielectric boddies using corona discharge and collecting dust on the surfaces of the dielectric bodies by the electric fields between the dielectric bodies. CONSTITUTION:When the voltage of a power source 7 is applied to an electric field applying electrode 4, an external electric field is applied to the whole of the dielectric bodies 5 between the electric field applying electrode 4 and an earth electrode 3. As a result, indivisual dielectric bodies 5-5 generate polarization and charges with positive and negative polarities appear on the surface of each dielectric body 5 and the electric field is conc. to the space between adjacent adjacent dielectric bodies 5, 5 to generate an electric field heavier than the external electric field. The surface of each dielectric body 5 comes to the collection surface of the dust in dust-containing gas A by said heavy electric field and the dust charged by corona discharge receives the effect of the heavy electric field generated between the dielectric bodies 5, 5 to be collected on the surface of each dielectric body 5.</p> |
