PURPOSE:To expand the communication distance of the system by discriminating a signal received by a reception means fitted to a power line carrier path into noise and a data earlier in a forecasting way, operating a transmission means when a data is discriminated to stop the function of the forecast discrimination and transmission other than in the communication timing. CONSTITUTION:In lugging a plug 3 into a receptacle 2, a reception means 4 receives a signal on a power line carrier path 1, sends it to a discrimination means 5, which discriminates the reception signal into noise and a data at an early point of time of the communication timing in a forecast way. When a data is discriminated, a transmission means 7 is operated and a signal higher than the reception signal level is sent to the power line carrier path 1 until the end of the communication timing. In order that the sent high level signal is established as a data in the communication timing in such a case, the signal is sent at least for a time equal to the signal time equal to or more than the signal time required for the reception side. When the reception signal is discriminated to be the data until the discriminating timing, the condition such as the duration time of the reception signal required is equal to or less than the requirements at the reception side.
