PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of abnormal sound in a subtank using a simple structure by arranging the discharge port of a water-cooled turbocharger in a specific position in relation to a radiator bypass passage, and further providing a means for preventing steam bubbles from flowing into the bypass passage. CONSTITUTION:An engine 1 has a conducting passage 4 through which the cooling water having been heat-exchanged in a radiator 2 is introduced into a water pump 3, and a return passage 7 through which the cooling water is returned to the upper tank 2a of the radiator 2. And the suction port 10b on a water jacket 10a in a water-cooled turbocharger 10 is connected to the water jacket 5a of a cylinder block 5, and the discharge port 10c is connected to the midway part 8a of a bypass passage 8. In the above device, the discharge port 10c is arranged in a position lower than the lowest part in the down-stream side passage 8c of the bypass passage 8. Further, in the upstream side passage 8d of the bypass passage 8, a one-way valve 11 which prevents the steam bubbles generated in the water jacket 10a from flowing in the return passage 7 direction is provided.
