METHOD FOR HEATING TITANIUM MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To heat uniformly a titanium material to a desired temp. in a furnace in a short time by controlling the heating rate and/or the internal temp. of the furnace in accordance with the measured temp. difference between at least central and terminal parts of the titanium material. CONSTITUTION:Temp. sensors are fitted to at least two parts on central and terminal of a titanium material and the temp. of the titanium material is directly measured with the sensors during heating in a furnace. The heating rate and/or the internal temp. of the furnace is controlled in accordance with the temp. difference between the two parts.
