PURPOSE:To minimize temp. rise of Na and to improve efficiency by projecting annular plates inside an internal cylinder filled with a filling for removal of impurities contained in cooling-medium Na and by preventing the natural convection of Na passing through the above. CONSTITUTION:Na injected via an inlet nozzle 1 into the inside of an outer barrel 2 is passed through a passage 4 and discharged via an outlet nozzle 7 while being brought into contact with the filling 6 in the internal cylinder 3. During the course of the above procedure, the impurities in Na are removed by means of the filling 6. The natural convection of Na in the above-mentioned internal cylinder 3 can be prevented by means of the annular plates 10 projectedly provided inside the internal cylinder 3. Resultingly, heat transfer from the filling 6 is inhibited and the temp. rise of Na can be prevented.
