PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts and to improve the assembling work by integrally forming a spring having an elasticity with a lever, engaging the spring with a connector to apply an elastic force thereto, and contacting a paper retainer with a sheet on a platen by the elastic force of the spring. CONSTITUTION:A spring 11 having an elasticity is integrally formed with a lever 4, and a latch 16 at the end of the spring 11 is engaged with a connecting pin 10 projected on a side plate in the state that the latch 16 is pressed with the connector of the pin 10. When a sheet retaining roller 6 is pressed to a platen 1, the spring 11 applies an elastic force to the lever 4 in a direction of an arrow X to press the roller 6 on the platen 1. When the lever 4 is rotated counterclockwise, the spring 11 tends to return. Accordingly, the roller 6 separates from the platen 1. Thus, the number of component parts can be reduced, and its assembling work can be improved.
