<p>PURPOSE:To produce the titled novel catalyst, capable of efficiently producing a lower olefin and having a specific X-ray diffraction pattern, by adding a boron source and alkaline earth metal source to a silica source, alumina source and alkali metal source to give a specific composition, and subjecting the mixture to hydrothermal reaction. CONSTITUTION:Raw materials are mixed so as to satisfy composition of 12-3,000 molar ratio (SiO2/Al2O3), 1-1,000 molar ratio (SiO2/B2O3), 0.02-10 molar ratio (OH<->/SiO2), 1-2,000 molar ratio (H2O/SiO2), 0.01-3 molar ratio (terapropylammonium/SiO2) and 0.03-300 atomic ratio (alkaline earth metal/Al). The resultant mixture is then stirred while heating at about 80-300 deg.C for about 1-200hr and subjected to hydrothermal reaction to produce the aimed alkaline earth metal-containing aluminoborosilicate, having the composition expressed by the formula (M<1> is alkali metal and/or hydrogen atom; M<2> is alkaline earth metal; a is 0-2; b is 0.1-100; c is 12-3,000; n is 0-30) and having an X-ray diffraction pattern shown in the table.</p> |
