PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of a slave equipment side by operating the receiving circuit of the slave station in operation only for a specific time T after data is transmitted from the slave equipment to a master equipment, and receiving data from the master equipment. CONSTITUTION:When the switch of the slave equipment is turned on, a processing circuit 1 sends transmit data to a transmitting circuit 2 and the data is transmitted to the master equipment by an LED and also sent to a power source control part for a receiving circuit to turn on a transistor TR1 so that the receiving circuit 4 operates only for the time T. When the master equipment performs transmission to the slave equipment during this period, that is received by a photodetecting element PD. A signal indicating the end is added to the tail of the data from the master equipment to the slave equipment and when it is received by the slave equipment, the operation of the receiving circuit 4 is stopped. In this constitution, the power consumption of the slave equipment is nearly equal to that of a conventional unidirectional remote control slave equipment and the slave equipment is powered on by a general battery for practical use.
