PURPOSE:To make it possible to release a vehicle from its backward traveling condition at once only by making a human hand free from a backward gear position selecting switch in order to enhance the safety of the vehicle, by using a self-resetting type switch, as the backward gear position selecting switch, which issues a manipulating signal only when it is pressed. CONSTITUTION:Speed change switch devices 24 are arranged on front and left control panels 23 in a control section 22 of a combine. These switches 24 consist of self-sustaining type exclusive gear position selecting switches 24a, 24b, 24c, for forward, neutral and backward gear stages, disposed on the left control panel 23, which are push-on and push-off type so that if one of them is pressed, the remaining switches are all turned off, and a self-resetting type gear position selecting switch 24d for a backward gear stage, disposed on a front control panel 23, which issues a manipulating signal only when it is depressed. Further, it is possible to release the working vehicle at once from its backward traveling condition merely by making a human hand free from the switch 24d.
