<p>PURPOSE:To stop operation when an operation trouble is generated by installing a detection means for detecting the position of a paper discharge roller and detecting the operation trouble in paper assortment and discharge operation. CONSTITUTION:When paper discharging rollers 16 and 18 start shifting in the right direction, a counter 32 for counting the time during which a driving motor 24 operates is set to zero. During the time when the driving motor 24 operates, the counter 32 performs counting-up at each interruption of the timer. Though the driving motor 24 stops operation at the time point when a light shielding body 29 reaches a right photosensor 30b part, an offset error signal is generated and printing operation is suspended, when a detecting means 33 detects the relation ta>=tx, in which ta is the counted value on the counter 32 and tx is a prescribed value, in other words, when the light shielding body 29 is not detected by the right photosensor 30b.</p> |
