<p>The diaphragm type valve is actuated by a spindle (46) which is prevented from rotating. The spindle is moved axially by a rotating nut (34) which is driven through a series of toothed belts from an electric motor (41). - The electric motor and driving belts are installed to the side of the actuating spindle (46) so that the axial movement of the spindle is not obstructed and this axial movement can be adjusted to any desired height. The valve can also be actuated manually through a removable handle (56) and bevel gear drive (66,68).</p> |
