<p>PURPOSE:To automate the pulling-off and the setting of a cap by providing a control means for releasing coupling between the cap and the setting place thereof on pressing a cap retainer to the cap, and controlling an operation for pulling off the cap rotating in that state. CONSTITUTION:A base frame 2 rotating via a robot arm 1 is lowered toward a radiator cap 5. When a retaining member 3 has come in contact with the cap 5 and the cap coupling part 6 of the retaining member 3 has reached a phase for coupling to the cap 5, the member 3 is instantaneously lowered and coupled to the cap 5. At this stage, the rotation of the base frame 2 is once stopped and only the lowering motion thereof continues. And when the frame 2 has come to a position suitable enough for releasing coupling between the cap 5 and a water filling opening, said lowering motion is stopped, rotary motion is resumed and an electromagnet 4 attracts the cap 5. Then, the base frame 2 starts rising and the rotation thereof is stopped. The aforesaid positional relations are automatically effected depending upon a distance between a gap sensor 8 and the upper end of the retaining member 3.</p> |
