PURPOSE:To prevent a section of an optical fiber from being oblique by fixing both sides of the section of the optical fiber by a fiber receiver when a cutter is moved along a groove provided in the direction orthogonal to the direction where an optical fiber connector is fitted to the fiber receiver. CONSTITUTION:Optical fibers 2 are inserted through insertion holes 15 and pass the inside of restoring springs 4 and are inserted through insertion holes 3b of a fiber receiver 3 so that they are projected out from the fiber receiver 3. A cutter 11 is moved along a groove 3a of the fiber receiver 3 to cut optical fibers 2. Since the cutter 11 is moved along the groove 3a of the fiber receiver 3 and both sides of sections of optical fibers 2 are fixed by the fiber receiver 3, that is, both sides are received, cut parts of optical fibers are not bent to easily cut them, and sections of optical fibers 2 are not oblique.
