PURPOSE:To enable a clutch to be easily inspected from the outside by constituting a main portion of a clutch housing from a housing body and a hood pivotably connected to the upper surface thereof by a hinge and a thumbscrew to be opened and closed. CONSTITUTION:A cover 4 is secured fixedly to an upper opening of a clutch housing body 2 by bolts 8 and further an opening is formed in the central portion of the cover 4 to be opened and closed through a hinge 5 by a hood 3. Also, a pair of stoppers 7 are fixed to the lower surface of the cover 4 to project into the opening and the hood 3 is fixed to the stoppers by a pair of thumbscrews 6. Here the inspection can be carried out only by removing the thumbscrews 6 and the interchanging repair by removing the bolts 8. Thus, the inspection of the clutch can be easily carried out from the outside and the inspection can be carried out for a short time.
