PURPOSE:To automatically control a differential pressure between gas pressure in the inside of a machine and seal liquid pressure by disposing an annular fixed plate and a pair of impellers in a flange with a bent portion projected in the radial direction from a rotary shaft. CONSTITUTION:Seal liquid supplied from a seal liquid supply system 7a into a bent portion 2b of a flange is driven to rotate by impellers 3a, 3b when a rotary shaft 1 is rotated, and subjected to centrifugal force. the seal liquid in the bent portion 2b of the flange is caused to form a boundary surface with gas in the inside of a machine in the bent portion of the flange by centrifugal force and a differential pressure between the gas pressure in the inside of the machine and the supply pressure of seal liquid, whereby the inside of the machine is sealed from the outside. When a differential pressure changes, the boundary surface is automatically moved properly, so that the inside of the machine can be sealed and leakage of seal liquid can be prevented always reliably.
