PURPOSE:To reduce the number of signal lines and electric contacts between a camera body and a camera accessory by transmitting set information to the camera body in accordance with clock pulses from the camera body. CONSTITUTION:Set information is transmitted to the camera body in serial bit by bit synchronously with the clock pulse. When a counter CO is counted up to one, a decoder DE sets an output terminal D0 to the high level. Since a switch S0 of a set switching means Z is opened at this time, an AND gate AN0 is opened and the output signal in the high level from the decoder output terminal D passes the AND gate AN0, an OR gate OR, and terminals P3 and B3 to transmit information of the high level to the camera body. When the counter is counted up to 2, an output terminal D1 is set to the high level. An AND gate AN1 of the set switching means Z is closed because a switch S1 is closed, and the output signal in the high level from the decoder output terminal D1 cannot pass it, and information of the low level is transmitted to the camera body.
