The epicyclic gear comprises a driving member, a driven member and a control member of which the peripheral speed may be varied with respect to the driving and/or driven members. The teeth of the different members are continuously in mesh with a given reduction ratio which is determined between the teeth of the outer members and/or by at least one reduction stage inside the intermediary member. The intermediary member interconnects the outer members so that they rotate in the same direction. In order to control the rotation speed of the intermediary member without having to overcome a reaction moment, a chain (72-75) is arranged between the driving member (71) and the driven member (77) of which the axes are arranged on at least two different radial lines (81-84) of the central axis (70). The whole assembly is sized in such a way that, when the gear is loaded, at least one of the wheels (72, 75) is supported by a neighbouring wheel by means of a radial traction or pressure load. Thereby, the control member has hardly any reaction motion when no control or braking force acts on the control member.
|
