The method consists of (a) grinding the olives to a certain size in a hammer mill or ball mill; (b) mixing the fruit mass in mixer with milled stones recycled from the press to form a mixt. enriched in stones, and heating to a suitable temp.; (c) feeding the mixt. into the cage press; (d) pressing to expel the liq.; (e) breaking up the residual cake in a mill; and (f) sepg. the pulp from the stone for use in part in a new cycle.
