摘要 PURPOSE:To enable the nipping pressure of a transmission belt to be maintained at a suitable value, by a method wherein a line oil pressure outputted from a line oil pressure regulating valve is corrected according to the rotation speed of an output shaft so that a thrust is decreased by an amount equivalent to an increase in s thrust created by the centrifugal force of a hydraulic cylinder on the output side. CONSTITUTION:A rotation sensor 50, adapted to detect the rotation speed of an output shaft 12 of a belt type continuously variable transmission, is situated in a position in the vicinity of the output shaft, and a rotation signal outputted from a rotation sensor 50 is fed to a controller 52. The controller 52 corrects a driving signal fed to a pressure control servo valve 54 so that the thrust of a hydraulic cylinder 20 on the output side is decreased by an amount equivalent to an increase in a thrust caused by a centrifugal oil pressure generated in the hydraulic cylinder 20 on the output side. this regulates an oil pressure generated in the hydraulic cylinder 20 on the output side to a proper value, and enables execution of reliable transmission.
