PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of a memory, to output long-period timing with high precision, and to facilitate the variation of its length and waveform data by storing the length and waveform data of the timing to be outputted in different memories. CONSTITUTION:The counted number of the 1st counter 1a of a timing signal generating device is preset and logic 1 is outputted at the end of the counting operation. The preset data of this counter 1a is stored in the 1st memory 2a and the waveform data of the output timing is stored in the 2nd memory 2b. Further, when the counter 1a outputs logic 1, the 2nd counter 1b counts up and outputs its count contents as the address of the memories 2a and 2b. Then, when the counter 1a outputs logic 1, the counter 1a is preset to reduce the memories 2a and 2b in capacity and also outputs long-period timing with high precision, thereby facilitating the variation of its period and waveform data.
