PURPOSE:To eliminate relative displacement between a column change rod and a steering shaft by arranging said rod in parallel with said shaft, and improve a feeling in gear change operation by fixing a guide plate coupling pin to the upper rod of said rod. CONSTITUTION:A column change rod 10 is arranged at the side of a steering shaft 1 in parallel therewith so that there will appear no relative displacement between said rod 10 and shaft 1 when a steering wheel is tilted. Furthermore, a pin 22 coupling to the cam face 21 of a guide plate 20 is fixed to the upper rod 12 of the column change rod 10 fixed with a column change lever 11. And an overall system is so constituted that a gear change feeling with the column change lever 11 will be good without any influence by the play of a universal joint 14 connecting upper and lower rods 12 and 13 to each other. |
