PURPOSE:To perform efficient pipeline processing by setting plural latch means which hold branch conditions of microinstructions individually and independently and eliminate an unnecessary flow of microinstructions. CONSTITUTION:Plural state latch means 24 which hold the states of microbranch conditions are a microbranch condition setting means 22 which set the plural state latch means 24 independently are provided. A microbranch condition decision means 26 selects a specific state latch means 24 among the plural latch means and decides a microbranch in response to the state of the microbranch condition set in the selected state latch means 24. Consequently, an unnecessary flow of microinstructions is eliminated and efficient pipeline processing is carried out.
