GLOSSINESS IMPARTING TONER

PURPOSE:To impart glossiness to a toner by dispersing glass powder into a binder resin of the toner so that incident light is totally reflected at the boundary face between the resin and glass powder. CONSTITUTION:The glossiness imparting toner is prepd. by incorporating the colorless transparent glass powder as the glossiness imparting material into the binder resin. The glossiness is imparted to part or the whole of the image when such toner is lap printed on the ordinary electrophotographic copy image. The relative refractive index of the glass powder with the resin binder is adjusted to <=0.95 range and the average grain size of the glass powder to a 2-5mum range. A high-polymer component having excellent transmittance is used as the binder resin and the component having >=0.8 transmission coefft. is preferable.
