PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of sprinkling operation and improve the quality of produced SAKE (Japanese rice wine), by furnishing a sprinkling apparatus with a special valve enabling the suction and discharging actions, placing the apparatus on a fermentation tank, sucking unrefined SAKE from the tank bottom through a suction pipe and discharging upon steamed rice. CONSTITUTION:A sprikling apparatus 1 is furnished with a pair of pistons 2b, 2b' and with a receiving cylinder 18 containing a cylindrical valve 4 performing suction and discharging operations in connection with the piston motion of the pistons 2b, 2b'. The sprinkling apparatus 1 is placed on a fermentation tank, a suction pipe is suspended down to the bottom of the fermentation tank and a discharging pie is positioned at the opening part in the tank. The fermentation tank is charge with water, rice malt, steamed rice, etc., and the unrefined SAKE at the bottom of the tank is sucked and sprinkled upon the steamed rice by energizing a motor 14. The efficiency of sprinkling operation can be improved, the unrefined SAKE can be sucked together with charged water without collapsing the rice malt and steamed rice and the quality of SAKE can be improved.
