PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a photometer and to improve the operability and performance thereof by selecting and measuring parallel transmitted light and diffusibly transmitted light. CONSTITUTION:The parallel transmitted light and diffusibly transmitted light are radiated from the left side of a sample 4 when parallel rays are irradiated to the sample 4. The parallel transmitted light is condensed onto the optical axis of a mask 3 by a lens 1 but the diffusibly transmitted light is not condensed onto the optical axis of the mask 3. The parallel transmitted light transmits the lens after the passage on the optical axis but is made into the parallel rays by a lens 2 after the transmission through the lens 2. The parallel rays are made incident on the condensing window of a detector 5. On the other hand, the diffusibly transmitted light is condensed onto the focal plane in the image space of the lens 1 if the diffusion angle is constant. The radius thereof is proportional to the size of the diffusion angle. The light past the mask 3 is made incident on the lens 2. This light forms the image of the sample 4 on the condensing window of the photodetector 5 after the transmission through the lens 2 and therefore, the incident light on the lens 1 can be condensed entirely to the condensing window by the light transmitted through the sample 4. |
