The subject of the present invention is an apparatus for automatically milling and lapping (honing) frustoconical electrodes for welding robots. According to the invention, this apparatus includes a milling spindle 2 and a lapping (honing) spindle 3, means for driving these spindles in alternating rotation movement, means 17 for centring the two spindles, a milling cutter 23 having double internal conical toothing on two opposite faces and fitted with means for fixing the milling spindle 2, an abrasive filing element 30 having two abrasive opposite plane faces and means for fixing the lapping (honing) spindle 3. <IMAGE>
