PURPOSE:To prevent lowering of impregnating quantity without damaging the surface of electrode by immersing a porous material to be immersed in an active material salt solution into the active material salt having lower concentration at the first time of repeated impregnation, thereafter performing a process of activation.] CONSTITUTION:The material salt concentration of on the surface of a porous material just before activation can be lowered by immersing a porous material into a low concentration material salt solution at the first time. Since the low concentration solution has lower viscosity in comparison with a high concentration solution, excessive liquid adhered to the surface can be removed smoothly and the deposition upon finish of impregnation is reduced to 1/2-1/5. Consequently, the surface of plate is never damaged while the filling quantity of active material per impregnating operation can be secured efficiently and the process can be shortened. |
