PURPOSE:To set a limit range optionally by controlling a selector with the output signal of a detector which detects the overflowing of an adder and the output signal of a storage device which inputs the addition result of an adder. CONSTITUTION:Given binary numbers (a) and (b) are added by an adder 1, which outputs its addition result (e). The digit overflow detector 2 which is supplied with the signs (c) and (d) of the binary numbers (a) and (b) and the sign (f) of the addition result (e) outputs a digit overflow detection signal (g) or (h). This digital overflow detection signal and the addition result (e) are inputted as an address to the storage device 3 and data stored in the address of the storage device 3 previously is outputted. The selector 4 is controlled with this output to select and output one of the output signal (e) of the adder 1 and control signals (i) and (j), thereby outputting only a value which can be outputted. Thus, the limit range is set optionally. |
